The Starr Inn in the hands of landlady Fay Wood offers all of teatures of a country pub.  An open fire, a welcome food fare and good choice of beers and wines.  It's a free house - one of the few - that also hosts some great music nights.  It also has really good parking off the road.  And, finally it has some rooms to let.  These rooms are independent of the pub itself and a well resourced.

The pub has a history that can be traced back to the mid 1600s when it is thought that it took its name from a certain John Sterre.  Parts of the pub are certainly old and, possibly, the skittle alley was once the stables so essential in the country in centuries passed.
