Lockerley Walking Group

Enjoy a walk in a slightly different area and a little further away on the outskirts of Basingstoke on Saturday 6th October. The plan is to meet at Cliddesden Primary School where there is plenty of parking at 1100. The views from here are amazing, across rolling countryside with the metropolis of Basingstoke in the distance. The walk is 6 - 7 miles long, relatively easy, no stiles and one not too steep hill, through woods and fields & several hamlets. Our lunch stop will be at the very charming Fox Pub at Ellisfield (dogs welcome) at around 1230. After lunch the path takes us to the very picturesque Ellisford Church with an attractive avenue of trees leading to its door. Our return route takes in bridle paths, a disused railway track, two copses and some farms. Lynda Atkins 07909 52 44 97
