Lent Lunches

Come for a soup, bread and cheese lunch on Saturdays in Lent between 1200 and 1400. Donations to UNICEF are asked for – there's no set amount!  The money goes into a ‘Jar of Grace’ which UNICEF use to provide lifesaving supplies to ensure children have access to clean water, medical care, adequate nutrition, protection and education.  This year, the focus is on protecting children from violence and exploitation.

See the Lent Lunches page here

Help to run the Lockerley Village Hall

Will you give some of your time to help run your village hall? Lockerley and East Dean War Memorial Hall urgently needs to appoint a new Committee Secretary and the hall also needs help with caretaking duties and fund-raising activities. These are voluntary roles which are crucial for keeping the hall going. If you are interested, please contact Tim Down (This email address is being protected from spambots. The Lockerley Bottle Bank and the Village Hall

If the bins are full then please take your offerings home for a few days and return when the bins have been emptied. There is no magic bottle genie who will clean your bottles, remove the metal caps, empty your plastic bags, sort out your cardboard boxes that you ungenerously tip there. Only kind thoughtful community members who try to keep things looking good. So please do not leave any rubbish by the bottle bank.
