 Raising funds for the Playground

Homemade Cake Sale at Lockerley Green Stores Saturday 7th July 2018. It will raise funds for the Jubilee Field Playground for Lockerley and East Dean. On the first Saturday of each month there will be a homemade cake sale in Lockerley Green Stores – to date they have sold out very quickly so go early to avoid disappointment! The next few dates will be: 4th August, 1st September, 6th October. Huge thanks to Eve and Brenda and all those who have very kindly volunteered to bake!

Lockerley Walking Group

Join us for an evening Walk Wednesday July 18th. It'll be a 3.5 mile summer evening walk through Ampfield Wood starting and finishing at the White Horse pub in Ampfield village. The woodland paths are level and easy with a wealth of wildlife and an attractive mix of oak, beech, yew and pine. Optional supper available at the White Horse. Meet at the village hall to share transport at 1800 or at The White Horse in Ampfield village at 1815 to start the walk at 1830 prompt. Flower and Produce Show

Saturday 4th August 2018 in Lockerley Memorial Hall. Everyone is invited to take part in this year's show organised by Lockerley and District Garden Club or come along with your friends in the afternoon to enjoy tea and homemade cakes and a raffle. Entry forms and recipes are available on the village website <>. Some copies also available from Lockerley Village Stores, the Coffee Shop and West Tytherley Stores.

Barnstormers Event Success

Donnally and Ian would like to thank everyone who supported the Barnstormers Comedy event back in February. We raised almost £600 in aid of Naomi House and Jacksplace. Extra special thanks to Barry and Sean Whitlock, Liz Dowding, the Black Horse pub, Julie and John Neilson, the Village Hall Committee and all the generous donors to our raffle.

East Tytherley's Tea on the Lawn - an Update

The organisers of the East Tytherley Tea on the Lawn would like to thank everyone who helped to make the afternoon such a huge success. We expect the final total raised to be around £1,700 which is a fantastic amount. Thank you to everyone who came to the event, to those who brought classic cars and vintage bikes, for all the amazing and very tasty scones and cakes. For donations of plants, flowers, books, bottles, raffle prizes and silent auction lots, thanks to John for singing and playing, to those who helped behind the scenes, and on the day, serving, washing up, collecting chairs and tables etc, the list goes on. It was a great community event, and we look forward to seeing you all again.

Lockerley and East Dean Playground

The Lockerley and East Dean Playground Committee would like to thank everyone who has donated, raised money for or helped with the playground - we now have just over £16,500! We are still applying for grants and have more exciting fundraisers in the pipeline so please watch this space. Lockerley Footpaths

The warm weather is waking up the brambles and nettles that blight our footpaths in the summer time. We would appreciate your help in letting us know any problems that you find, so that our lengthsman can do his best to keep our paths open throughout the growing season.
