Harvest Bags

Make your harvest contributions doubly fair this year with a fair-trade Harvest Bag which helps producers in developing countries and food banks here, and it saves you trouble too! Each bag is packed and ready to take to a school harvest assembly or harvest church service. Each bag contains a selection of suitable foods from Tradecraft, such as tea, orange juice, cereal, pasta, biscuits, chocolate, sweets, cookies, jam, sardines, honey, peanut butter, sugar, pineapple pots, etc.  Total value is over £10. Many people chose to give their harvest gifts this way last year and you can obtain yours – either at any 1030 church service in September in Lockerley or by phoning Liz on 017 94 34 09 93.

West Tytherley Village Fete

This was a huge success! The Fete Committee are absolutely delighted to record that the Fete raised an incredible new record amount – £8500.56.  This is an amazing 49% up on 2018 which was in itself a previous record sum.  Thanks to all who helped organise it and to those who came along, had a good time and joined in so enthusiastically.  The slightly earlier date worked well and we are planning to hold the 2020 Fete on Saturday 16 May - save the date in your diary now!  All monies raised go to support local community causes and the Fete Grants Panel would like to remind you that the closing date for grant applications for 2019 is 30 September. Download the application form and application instructions at westtytherley.com/village-fete

St John’s Churchyard Lockerley

If anyone feels they can spare approximately one hour a fortnight (in summertime) to mow a section of the churchyard, it would be a great help.  There is a power driven church mower. Many of our loved ones are buried there and we do want to keep it tidy. If you can help, please phone Bob Stileman on 017 94 34 04 52
