The villages of Lockerley and East Dean near Romsey have always had families with children of all ages and yet they have never had an area where children and parents can get together to play and socialize. Thanks to a very generous gift of land in Lockerley - which is called the Jubilee Field - and some stalwart fund raising the play ground is now established. There is limited parking. Sadly there is no safe pedestrian route to the location either from Lockerley Green or from parking in the lay by adjacent to the Dennis Wooton scout HQ. Be careful when you walk or cycle to this location as the road is subject to vehicles moving at enthusiastic - even exuberant - rates quite unsuited to the nature of the environment.
