The Thorngate History Society broadly reflects the historical aspects within the Thorngate Hundred. It used to be highly active and it organised visits to intersting earthworks, barns and other buildings. It required much care and research in organising. It has lapsed in recent years and awaits a pricess charming to re-animate its soul.
