The Lockerely Lunch club began in an era whan, to be over 60 years old was considered to be rare. At that time it was called the Over 60s Lunch Club. It met once a month usually on a Sunday and provided a three course lunch with a glass of sherry. It provided a social lifeline for those not able to travel far. Life has moved on these days. The club still operates - usually on a Sunday - and it still provides a social event for the village's less able people. The forthcoming dates are usually published in the Newsletter. And, if you sish to help in preparation and setting up then the organisers will be pleased to find you a rĂ´le.
